Rustic E-session, with a fantastic couple! Ottawa Valley Engagement Photographers

Monday was an over cast partly sunny day that threatened rain all day. We were lucky and it didn’t rain and the heat was not as unbearable as what will be upon us over the next couple of days. We were delighted to work with this fantastic couple for their engagement session, I have always wondered what it must be like to be on the other side of the camera (thankfully I’m not) but it must be difficult to smile, laugh and kiss on command but these two let the love shine and it really shows in their photos!

Thanks Jenna and Jordan we are really looking forward to the wedding in August! You were both such a pleasure to work with…which is just a reminder that we really do have the best job on earth!

We can’t possibly do a photo session at “The Good Farm” without a very special Thank You to “The Good Family” Thanks for the hospitality and letting us take over your home for a few hours, it is one of our favorite locations to shoot as it is such a beautiful place!
A rustic E-session

Down on the Farm!!

It was such a pleasure working with this family on their farm. The mixture of props; that told a personal story for the family, and two very feisty little boys, kept me on my toes! I love when I look at the candid photos post-shoot and see how much love is present in a close family! This crew blew me away with their patience and commitment to one other. The two boys were such handsome little men and I could have followed them around all day. The rustic farm setting set the tone for the entire shoot.

Sometimes, I take “accidental” photos, and by that I mean I continue shooting after the “pose” is over… Adults usually catch on but children often listen to me say “I am done” and then resume to their playful selves. I captured the CUTEST candids of the three-year old at play! He did not appreciate a camera following him around, but instead of getting mad or throwing a temper tantrum, he made funny faces and humored me to the core. What a cutie Pie!

The baby in the photos, was the easiest to capture. I always look for little quirks, attitudes, and/or personality development expressions, and this little man was full of them! I have to say I pictured that little smile of his long after I left the farm.

A special acknowledgement to mommy and daddy for being so patient and attentive to their little men. What a relaxed session, One I thoroughly enjoyed.
